EB Life Safety, operating as EB Consulting and Existing Building LLC, is a fire protection engineering and life safety consulting firm headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We provide expert fire protection engineering services to building owners, developers, architects, and property managers across the state of Florida.
Our team brings deep expertise in NFPA codes, the International Building Code (IBC), and Florida Building Code requirements. We specialize in solving complex fire protection challenges for high-rise condominiums, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and mixed-use developments.

Jeffrey "Jeff" Marcic - Principal
Jeff Marcic is the Principal at Existing Building, LLC. A University of Florida graduate, Jeff brings extensive expertise in building envelope consulting, smoke control systems, forensic investigations, and code compliance. He is recognized as a featured expert on smoke control misconceptions and has appeared as a podcast guest on life safety consulting topics. Jeff is based in the Pompano Beach / Lighthouse Point, FL area.
